Veronica Clark, who returned this season as the coach of the Cathedral High School girls lacrosse team, said after losing several key players from last season, few outside the program expected the Irish to fare particularly well this season.
Clark said that thought wasn't limited to outsiders, that although the Irish had talent and were confident entering the season, they didn't enter the season thinking they were guaranteed big things.
They got them anyway.
